Handwritten Invitations

Handwritten Invitations — Kate Walton Collections

Kate Walton Collections

Written by hand,
painted with intention

Each invitation is lettered, painted and assembled by hand — never printed, never duplicated. A keepsake before the occasion has even begun.

The story behind

Kate Walton
Collections

Made entirely by hand,
one piece at a time.

Every invitation that leaves this studio is made entirely by hand — lettered, painted and assembled by Kate Walton, one piece at a time. Kate's background as a painter and decorative artist shapes everything: the brushwork, the instinct for composition, the understanding that an invitation is the first impression of an occasion that matters deeply.

Over the years, Kate has built The Studio Catalogue — a growing collection of original painted motifs including birds, botanicals, foliage and florals — each available to be hand-applied to your invitations, making every piece quietly unique. For those who want something entirely their own, original paintings and pressed flowers can be incorporated, creating an invitation unlike anything that could be printed or produced at scale.

Nothing here is printed. Nothing is duplicated.

A special addition

Pressed flowers & painted botanicals

The most personal touch an invitation can carry — a real bloom, pressed and preserved, or painted by hand. No two are ever identical.

Three ways to work with flowers

Pressed & applied

Real flowers pressed and dried in the studio, then hand-applied to each invitation and sealed. Choose from the studio collection or send blooms of your own.

from £18 per piece

Hand-painted florals

Your chosen bloom painted in watercolour on each card — from the Studio Catalogue or matched to a specific flower of meaning.

from £22 per piece

Pressed & painted together

A real pressed flower anchored by painted foliage and stems — a layered composition that feels like a tiny framed work of art.

from £32 per piece

Flowers with meaning

You are warmly welcome to send flowers of personal significance — from a garden, a place, or a cherished memory — to be pressed and incorporated into your order. These are handled with care, and stems, leaves and petals used thoughtfully across the full run.

Roses from the family garden Wildflowers from where you got engaged A late grandparent's favourite bloom Your bridesmaids' flowers A childhood favourite
Lead timePressed flowers need 2–4 weeks to dry. Please send blooms at least 6 weeks before your deadline.
Sending flowersFresh stems in damp tissue, posted overnight, are ideal. Dried flowers are welcome too.
DurabilityAll pressed work is sealed with a conservation-grade matt varnish and should be stored flat, away from direct sunlight.
